Police recover stolen goods worth £50k in Craigmillar
Police recovered £50,000 worth of stolen goods following a series of raids in Craigmillar.
A number of addresses in the area were visited and searched on Wednesday, January 11, leading to the recovery of an Audi A6, several items of high-value jewellery, and a laptop computer.
All of the items were stolen in break-ins that occurred in the south and east of the city.
A 45-year-old woman and 43-year-old man were arrested and charged in connection with the recovery of the stolen items and will both appear at court at a later date.
Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with two alleged break-ins that happened in the Craigmillar area, and he will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.
A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "The Force is committed to bringing those involved in acquisitive crime to justice, and reuniting stolen goods with their rightful owners.
