Police appeal after Craigmillar power tool theft
Nearly £8,000 worth of power tools have been stolen from a company in Castlebrae Business Centre.
The theft, at Frontier Forestry Ltd on Peffer Place, occurred sometime between 2.45pm on Thursday, December 8 and 6.30am on Friday 9.
Staff arrived on the Friday morning to find the premises had been broken into and a number of tools, including chainsaws, hedge cutters and a leaf blower, had been taken.
Police are now appealing for witnesses following the high-value theft, which is thought to be worth around £7,500.
A police spokesman said: "This crime has had a significant impact on the company's operations and we are urging anyone who can help identify those responsible to contact police immediately.
"Similarly, anyone with any other information that can assist with our enquiries is also asked to get in touch."
