Craigmillar call to get fit for children's charity fundraiser
23 July, 2012Fitness Chicks, who run women-only exercise classes in Edinburgh will be celebrating the opening of their new studio by holding an open day event to raise money for children’s charity CHILDREN 1st - and are calling on people in Craigmillar to back the fundraiser.
The event on Sunday 29th July is open to everyone between 12pm-4pm at 1a Porters Walk in the Quartermile Complex. There will be a raffle and a chance to meet the famous Fitness Chicks to find out more about the wide variety of fun exercise classes and programmes on offer. If that’s not enough, guests will be waited on by dashing VIP Butlers.
All proceeds of the event will go to CHILDREN 1ST, a charity that works across Scotland to help build a brighter future for vulnerable children and families.
Sarah, co-owner of Fitness Chicks, said: “We’re delighted to be raising money for CHILDREN 1ST – an organisation that’s close to our hearts. Most of the ladies who attend our classes are mothers and are keen to support a cause that protects children from abuse and neglect and which works with families so that children can enjoy a happy and safe upbringing.”
