Council fumigates 'worst ever' bed bugs case in Craigmillar flat

Police and and environmental officers have taken "extreme action" to clear two tonnes of rubbish and filthy items from a Craigmillar flat in what council bosses have described as "one of the worst cases" of bed bugs their team has ever seen.

The city council's pest control team gained a warrant to enter the flat in Craigmillar Castle Loan, and fumigated the premises, which were completely infested.
