Boxers fly the flag for Craigmillar club in Scottish championships

  • Craigmillar Boxing Club will be represented by Tony James and Jason Easton in the Scottish Championships

Craigmillar Amateur Boxing club have a double title hope when the Scottish senior amateur championships get under way at Lasswade.

The local club will be represented by lightweight Tony James and light-welterweight Jason Easton, when the bell goes for the start of the championships, with boxers from all over the country coming to Lasswade High School for the opening rounds of this year's event.

Entry is £10 on the door for adults and £7 for concessions with boxing due to start at 12 noon.

Actually disapprove of grown men pummelling into each others' brains but nowadays there's masses of head gear and cranial protection made available of which I am assured. And anything which keeps the teenagers of Greater Craigmillar and the surrounding areas from idling away the twilight hours upon the streets is bound to be a good thing; inevitably - that of which I am assured. Good Luck boys!
