The Diary of a Countryside Lady on 24.07.2010 @ 17.50

The travellers have been.

The travellers have gone.

.The travellers were camped.

The travellers were stamped.

With the mark of disapproval.

The reception was cold.

The reception was hostile.

People 'assumed' they were just too bold.

And while we reflect.

Dismiss as suspect.

Did any one actually speak with them?

Mike and I didst try.

Not to pry.

(To offer the hand of friendship.

We received such a warm reception.

They gathered....no exception.

Spoke of the 'natural' mistrust.

The 'natural' mark of distrust.

Yet in EVERY walk of life.

When we turn the knife.

Reflect and think.

There are thieves everywhere

Not only in tinker camps, here or there.

annamarie causer says

As I partake of a written poem at times.

Yet not all I use

Actually rhymes!

So I begin to appreciate,

@ the rate,

My wife,

She churns

And turns

Them out.

Of course I do all the housework.

So this is dedicated to my fork & wife.

Have your say...

Memories, Nostalgia & History

History doesn't have to be in black & white

Your memory of a local character or a school photo from the last ten years can be just as interesting as wars and Victorians.
