The Diary of a Countryside Lady on 16.09.2010 @ 13.25
Three cheery chaffinches,
Mere inches
From my face,
Loop the loop,
Dive and swoop
And race,
Agin the southerly wind.
Colourful
in extreme.
The school,
Who rule
The blue skies,
Didst seem
So glad.
Cause a ray,
A warming beam
Of sunshine,
To lighten,
To lift,
Any,
Many
A weary heart.
I pause
In my remembrances
And start
For home.
Glad once more, I didst roam
In Wauchope wilderness.
(Less
The auld hooses,
And snooping mooses).
