The Diary of a Countryside Lady on 16.09.2010 @ 13.25

by annamarie causer

Three cheery chaffinches,

Mere inches

From my face,

Loop the loop,

Dive and swoop

And race,

Agin the southerly wind.

Colourful

in extreme.

The school,

Who rule

The blue skies,

Didst seem

So glad.

Cause a ray,

A warming beam

Of sunshine,

To lighten,

To lift,

Any,

Many

A weary heart.

I pause

In my remembrances

And start

For home.

Glad once more, I didst roam

In Wauchope wilderness.

(Less

The auld hooses,

And snooping mooses).

Hi Gorgeous Annemarie,

Finally found you and do love your poems, and as the two little doggies and my husband and me were swooped the other day on our walk, I really identified with this one.  Love Marie  xxx

AN ODE TO MY DEAR ARTIST FRIEND IN A FAR OFF PLACE,

COS SHE IS JUST SIMPLY ACE!!!!!!

Thank you so

Marie,

For the plaudits.

You be

A good friend.

And truthfully what you have to say,

As far as I can see

Means a lot more,

Day by day

Than say,

Hey....

The lore

Of the ancient poet, John Donne.

'Twere he alive.

Cos you are a friend.

And a friend in need,

Is (as they say)

A friend indeed!

Than many another.

Anyway he,

Mr Donne

Was one

Mean son

Of a gun.

Or so they [the annals] say!

Love the little chick-a-dee.

Hope you and hubby whooped,

When you were swooped.

As to Me...

Well I'd run and hide.

Cos you see

I own to a deep seated fear,

When the feathered variety come near.

Ain't that just queer.

PS: Love them to bits though,

At a distance.

But I scarper, if I get the chance!

Well, ain't it swell,

The snow is a calling.....

Away to dance

In the white stuff

Skyward falling.......

Enough

With the chit-chat.

And that's that!

Mucho love & huggies, Annamarie XXX < 3 < 3

Memories, Nostalgia & History

History doesn't have to be in black & white

Your memory of a local character or a school photo from the last ten years can be just as interesting as wars and Victorians.
